About Olivia
Hi! I'm a recent Cambridge graduate in MML (Spanish and Portuguese) and I’ve always loved working with others to make language learning feel less intimidating and a lot more enjoyable. I'm an avid language learner, and recently graduated with First Class Honours in my Spanish and Portuguese language papers from Cambridge, so I really understand what it takes to succeed — and how stressful it can sometimes feel along the way! Whether you're preparing for an exam or just want to improve your confidence, I’ll tailor lessons to your pace, goals, and interests, and make sure we keep things encouraging and fun along the way. I believe language learning should be about curiosity, not just memorising rules, and I’m here to support you every step of the journey.

My lessons are shaped around each student, no two learners are the same, so I adapt my teaching style to suit your goals, interests, and pace. Whether that’s help with grammar, speaking practice, exam prep, or just feeling more confident using the language day-to-day, I aim to make learning enjoyable and tailored to you. I combine clear explanations with conversation, listening, grammar support, and creative ways to reinforce knowledge, helping you stay motivated and make real progress. Each session typically lasts around 60 minutes. I like to include interactive elements like games or real-life scenarios, especially for younger learners, to keep things engaging and memorable. If you’re working towards a specific exam, I’ll also bring in past paper practice and targeted revision methods to build your confidence and exam technique. I have experience tutoring Spanish both during my time living in Barcelona and while teaching languages at a summer school in Mallorca. I’ve worked with students of all ages, from beginners to advanced, and I’m very familiar with the UK school system: I achieved a 9 at GCSE and an A* at A Level in Spanish, and recently graduated with First Class Honours in Spanish and Portuguese language papers at the University of Cambridge. I offer lessons for all ages and levels. Whether you’re starting from scratch, getting back into it after a break, or preparing for school exams, I’ll work with you to build your skills and keep you motivated.
