I’m a Cambridge Philosophy graduate with a particular interest in Political Philosophy, Philosophy of Language and Phenomenology. My A-Levels include an A* in English, an A* in Government and Politics, an A in Philosophy and an A in History. I’m confident in my ability to help others with essay writing techniques, and honestly just love having an excuse to talk about my subject.

My teaching style is partly influenced by the Cambridge supervision system. I teach through the alternation of two lesson plans. When establishing knowledge of a particular topic, I believe a conversational approach to be best. I’ll ask my student about their knowledge of the subject, and from there introduce ideas from other sources or thinkers to help my student develop a grasp on the broader field of debate on the topic. When a lesson is about essay writing in particular, I read a recent and relevant example of my student’s work in advance of the lesson. Based off what I’ve read, I’ll ask my student questions such that they’ll have to choose to either defend or adapt the position maintained in their work. After which I’ll offer my student advice on how to reformulate their essay’s argument and structure to better serve their conclusion.
