About Emily
Hi, I'm Emily, a University of Cambridge BA (Hons) Geography and University of Exeter MSc Marine Science Graduate. I currently work as a research assistant in urban geographies and environmental health within a university Geography department. I teach Geography (GCSE / A-Level / Uni) for both human and physical geography, covering general course content, help with coursework, and exam prep. I also tutor for Oxbridge admissions preparation, including personal statement review, extracurricular choice guidance, and interview practice, particularly for Geography.

I am passionate about supporting students at a range of levels and meeting them where they're at, whether that's helping struggling students to gain confidence and obtain a pass, or pushing high-performing students to their full potential. I offer tailored tuition for GCSE, A-Level, and university Geography, adapting my approach to suit each student’s learning style and goals.
I also tutor for Oxbridge applications, including personal statement development, admissions test preparation, and interview practice. Having been through the process myself, I understand what tutors are looking for and how to help students present their curiosity, critical thinking, and academic potential effectively.
Lessons are available online or in person in Oxford, with a flexible and supportive approach designed to help each student achieve their best. Lesson frequency and length can be decided by the student.

Details
My hourly rate is £35 per hour, with discounted rates available for block bookings. I offer a free 30-minute introductory session, giving us the opportunity to discuss the student’s goals, assess their needs, and outline how I can support them. This initial meeting is a relaxed way to see if my teaching style is the right fit before committing to further lessons.
