Cambridge Graduate (Double First) - Primary to Degree Level - English tutor with Sam

Sam tutored my daughter for GCSE Maths and also helped her with some English. He is clearly a very bright young man but also well-organised, kind and reassuring when teaching. My daughter had always struggled with Maths and Sam gave her real confidence and as well as an interest in the subject. She particulary enjoyed his sense of humour - which always helps when it comes to Maths!!

Sam gave me enormous help with English language and literature at Cambridge. He is an extraordinary editor, spotting every little grammatical or stylistic error I'd made in my writing, and explaining his suggestions clearly and gently. He also gave me a love of poetry and analysing complex literature that I'd never have had without him. He is continually encouraging, patient and fun as a tutor. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to love what they are learning.

I’ve known Sam as a friend and colleague at Cambridge University for several years and rarely have I met someone with such a knowledge of English literature and history; and he also excels linguistically, particularly in Spanish (having lived in Spain) and Latin. He is a committed tutor who considers his students' needs and adapts his teaching as necessary. His joy and enthusiasm is effervescent and he is able to get his students enthused as well. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
