About Andy
I have had a 28 year career in the IT industry, during which time I have given many presentations and training courses. In the past three years I have delivered a range or presentations / lectures to students at the University of Bedfordshire. My students achieve an average grade of 67% (B+) with some students obtaining higher grades.

I am a recent postgraduate student, currently preparing for my PhD. I offer help to Busines Studies students at O and A Level.
I teach using the explain-practice-guide method. I first explain a concept, with real world examples, then set one or two exercises for the students to practice. I then provide postive guidance on the results of the exercise.
During the 'explain' part I involve the students in active discussions about the concepts and their uses.
I use a variety of materials, including prepared presentation slides/printouts and corporate video clips.
