About Skye
I am a passionate flute tutor with over 7 years of experience teaching school students, college learners, and working professionals. My teaching approach is clear, structured, and focused on building strong fundamentals. I begin with breathing exercises, posture correction, embouchure control, finger coordination, and rhythm accuracy. I believe mastering these basics creates confidence and long-term success.
As students progress, I introduce articulation techniques, dynamic control, and expressive phrasing. Along with flute performance, I teach music theory, sight reading, scale practice, rhythm training, and ear development to ensure complete musical growth.
I personalize each lesson according to the student’s goals and learning pace. My unique strength is helping students achieve a smooth tone and consistent finger speed. I also prepare students for exams and stage performances. My goal is to make flute learning enjoyable, disciplined, and inspiring.

My flute teaching methodology is based on Adaptation to Learning Styles, Flexibility, Collaboration, and Positivity. I understand that every student learns differently. Some students learn best by listening, some by reading notation, and others by practical demonstration. I carefully observe each student and adjust my teaching methods to suit their individual learning style.
In flute training, I focus on strong fundamentals such as posture, breath control, embouchure development, tone quality, finger technique, articulation, rhythm accuracy, and musical expression. I break down complex techniques into simple and manageable steps so that students feel confident and motivated.
Flexibility is an important part of my teaching. I adjust lesson pace according to the student’s level, whether beginner, intermediate, or advanced. I also modify lesson plans depending on exam preparation, performance goals, or hobby learning.
Collaboration plays a key role in my sessions. I encourage students to actively participate by asking questions, suggesting pieces they enjoy, and setting personal goals. Together, we work on classical pieces, contemporary music, scales, sight-reading, ear training, and improvisation.
Positivity creates a comfortable learning environment. I celebrate small improvements and guide students through challenges patiently. In addition to flute, I also teach music theory, basic keyboard for pitch understanding, rhythm training, sight-reading skills, and performance preparation. My goal is to build confident, expressive, and technically strong flute players.
