About Alisha
I am an aspiring Astrobiologist who teaches STEM subjects. I am passionate about encouraging future generations of scientists who will challenge the status quo, and ask important questions in order to drive real change. If I don't know an answer, I will find one for you through my academic network. I am honest and hard-working, and will go above and beyond to ensure you understand content; I will ask you in-depth questions to promote discussions for higher learning. As an academic mentor, I also teach stress management tools; my forte is exam preparation and improving test scores.

With the biological sciences, my teaching method is strongly influenced by scientific research, and emphasizes the importance of studying history alongside modern scientific theory, developing skills in data interpretation and understanding the scientific method (experimentation) - i.e. what constitutes good science vs. bad science. If students can understand how to design scientific experiments in order to test hypotheses and know when to reject working theories, I strongly believe this constitutes mastery of the scientific discipline.
