About Alisha
I am an aspiring Astrobiologist who teaches STEM subjects. I am passionate about encouraging future generations of scientists who will challenge the status quo, and ask important questions in order to drive real change. If I don't know an answer, I will find one for you through my academic network. I am honest and hard-working, and will go above and beyond to ensure you understand content; I will ask you in-depth questions to promote discussions for higher learning. As an academic mentor, I also teach stress management tools, and my forte is exam preparation and improving test scores.

Currently studying Astrobiology at UNSW, I will teach you to think like a scientist and be able to succeed with every learning endeavor. I am a scientist, not a teacher. Traditional tutors and teachers will show you class content, I will teach you how to solve problems using the "bottom-up approach" I have learned as a Supplemental Instructor of Chemistry. Students will develop study skills proven to be highly effective that will improve exam scores in a rapid time-frame, and will stay with you for life. I am a fully qualified tutor with the Australian Tutoring Association (ATA) with WWC credentials, and 4 years experience as a Supplemental Instructor for Chemistry (US). I tutor high school students in all STEM disciplines for $55/hour, and university students for $80/hour.
