About Larissa
I have studied my BSc Animal Biology in Montreal, QC, and my MSc Animal Health and Welfare in England. I have worked in the field all across Canada and within Europe/UK as a mentor to many students/aspiring professionals. I have collaborated with multiple non-profit organizations and higher education institutions for research in wildlife genetics and metabolomics. On top of my degrees and research, I hold a certificate in wildlife nutrition and am a certified marine mammal medic.
I am incredibly passionate about all of my work, whether it be hands-on with animals or "doing science" in the lab. My passion equally lies in helping people (of all ages) find their place in this field... or at least make them a bit more interested in it while they have to study it!

I'm here to help you learn in a way that works best for you, and (hopefully!) make it interesting!
The aim is to not speak at you endlessly, but to get you thinking and talking about the topics so that you understand them and maybe even make connections to other topics. We can all read textbook explanations before a test, but more often than not, the information is lost thereafter.
I like to take a visual approach, putting together powerpoint presentations or word document lesson/study guides. My focus is to help you and give additional support with what you're having difficulty with, however much or little that is.
Lessons are for anyone who has questions about or difficulties within the field of biology or chemistry. I am also very happy to teach more specific topics within those fields for university students.
