About Michael
With a First-Class Degree in Live Sound from University of St Mark & St John and over 10 years lecturing in music production and songwriting, I’ve helped hundreds of students discover their musical voice. I run my own professional studio, Rose Records, where I produce, record, and guide artists in creating polished, release-ready tracks.
I play guitar, bass, piano, and sing at a high level, and I bring all this experience into my teaching — from songwriting and arranging to recording, mixing, and mastering in Logic Pro X. I know how to break down complex production techniques into simple, actionable steps, helping beginners and aspiring artists feel confident and inspired.
I’ve worked with shy learners, beginners, and neurodivergent students, creating lessons that are flexible, encouraging, and tailored to each individual. My goal is always to help you bring your ideas to life, develop your own style, and gain real-world skills you can use in your music today.

I offer dynamic, creative online music lessons for students 16+, covering Logic Pro X, songwriting, vocals, guitar, bass, piano, recording, mixing, and mastering. With 10 years of lecturing experience and running my own studio, I help beginners, shy learners, neurodivergent students, and aspiring artists turn ideas into polished, professional-sounding tracks.
Whether you want to write your own songs, record vocals and instruments, master Logic Pro X, produce your own music, or finish tracks you’ve started, I’ll guide you every step of the way. I can teach you how to arrange, mix, and master your music, get the best sound from your home studio, and unlock your creative potential.
My lessons are tailored, inspiring, and practical, combining real-world industry skills with support, encouragement, and a flexible approach that suits your goals and learning style. I focus on making complex concepts simple, helping you gain confidence, develop your sound, and bring your music to life.
First 20 minutes are free, giving you a chance to see how we can work together. Whether you’re a beginner or an aspiring artist, I’ll help you create music that truly reflects your ideas and talent.
