About Rhuan
I have been teaching Portuguese for foreigners for over a year. I have already had students from several Latin American countries (Chile, Argentina, Colombia and Mexico), but students of all nationalities are welcome. The students who took classes with me approved my approach with a focus on social relations. According to them, the most interesting result of the classes was the development of a speech and writing appropriate to different types of social interaction.

I am a student of the Languages course (Portuguese and English) at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, where I also teach English at CLAC (the institution's official language course). I follow the theoretical approach of sociointeractionism, that is to say that the focus is given in the real social relations that the student can experience. In conversation classes the student will be introduced into Brazilian culture through texts and media of different genres; documentaries, newspaper articles, interviews, music, excerpts from TV shows, etc. These resources will be used as a way to guide oral production during class.
