About Betina
My name is Betina Martins (Bê, for short). I am 18 years old and Brazilian. I just finished High School in Minnesota and am moving to the Netherlands to study Law. I love languages - I speak Portuguese, English, Spanish and German.
Portuguese is my native language, but I've been learning English since I was two years old, and am fluent. I have a little sister who is 9, and I adore teaching children!
Learning a new language is not easy, but I want to make it as interesting and fun as possible. I want to include part of my brazilian culture in the lessons, and teach my students about the world.
And if you need translating - I will gratefully do that as well. I am quite experienced with grammar and my father is a lawyer, who will always revise the work after I am done.
My dream is to become a lawyer as well, and that is why I am moving in October to the Netherlands. I am so excited! I will continue with the lessons once I am there.
I want to teach as much as I can of the language and brazilian culture without making it heavy for the student. Portuguese is a beautiful language - I will convey that to my students!

Hello! My name is Bê (and that's probably the first thing you'll learn how to pronounce in our lesson!). I can help any level student - learning Portuguese or translating it - and teach conversational Portuguese, that way the students can actually use what they have learned. I teach from home, and my schedule is flexible.
My lessons are structured with goals and the steps me and the student need to take to achieve them, games, videos, grammar learning, and mostly speaking. My goal is to make the student think in Portuguese, and not to translate it from English every time they want to say something. I am very patient and understanding, and do my best to make the environment a comfortable one for the student and myself! :)
