About Antônio
My name is Antônio, and I teach Portuguese because I genuinely believe that learning a new language should feel calm, simple and enjoyable. My goal is to help students speak Portuguese with confidence while feeling supported at every step. I know what it is like to learn a new language from scratch, because I speak English and Spanish and I am currently learning French. This helps me understand the fears, the frustrations and the moments when students feel stuck. For this reason, I focus on creating a relaxed atmosphere where students can learn without pressure, without embarrassment and without feeling judged. I want every student to feel that Portuguese is not difficult or intimidating. With clear explanations, patient guidance and steady practice, anyone can learn. I use a study planner I designed myself to help students stay organised and build confidence week by week. My approach is simple: make progress feel natural, consistent and stress-free. You can expect professionalism, kindness, clarity and a genuine commitment to your growth. My purpose as a tutor is to make your journey into Portuguese feel smooth, positive and empowering. Hi, I’m Antônio, a Brazilian native living in London. I teach Portuguese in a simple, friendly and practical way, especially for beginners who want to start speaking naturally and confidently. I teach through real-life communication. My classes focus on helping students speak from the very first lesson using guided conversation, personalised vocabulary, pronunciation practice and clear explanations. I speak English and Spanish and I am currently learning French, which helps me understand how learners think and where they struggle. This allows me to teach with patience, clarity and empathy. Every student receives access to a special study planner I designed. It includes weekly goals, habit trackers, immersion ideas, daily tasks, role-play prompts and simple steps to build consistent progress. This system helps students improve not only during lessons but throughout the week. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and includes speaking practice, vocabulary development and easy grammar presented in a natural and useful way. Classes are fully adapted to each student’s pace, interests and goals.
