About Shefali
My passion for teaching grew from my own experience as a parent. I have two boys with ADHD and dyslexia, and I saw firsthand how difficult it could be for them to focus, understand, and retain information in traditional learning settings. To support them, I created a visual-aid-based approach in 2009 that made learning clearer, more engaging, and easier to manage step by step. Seeing their progress and growing confidence inspired me to help other children who may need the same kind of support.
That experience shaped the way I teach today: with patience, structure, encouragement, and a strong belief that every child can succeed when taught in the way they learn best.
With 16 years of experience, I offer personalized one-on-one academic, focus, and learning support for students who benefit from visual learning, structure, and step-by-step teaching. I support all subjects up to Grade 8 and Math up to Grade 12, while also helping students with study skills, organization, reading support, and homework routines.
My lessons are calm, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s individual needs, with a focus on building confidence, understanding, and independent learning skills.

My teaching methodology is personalized, patient, and highly structured. I break concepts into smaller, manageable steps, use clear explanations and visual examples, and adapt each lesson to the student’s pace, confidence level, and learning style. I focus on helping students truly understand what they are learning while also building stronger study habits, organization, focus, and independence.
A typical lesson begins with a short check-in to understand the student’s goals and any challenges they are facing. I then review previous work or homework, introduce the topic step by step, and guide the student through examples before we practice together. The lesson ends with independent work supported by feedback, so the student gains confidence applying the concept on their own.
My lessons are supportive, encouraging, and designed to make learning feel clear, manageable, and rewarding.
I work with all subjects up to Grade 8 and Math up to Grade 12, and I also support students with reading, comprehension, study skills, focus, organization, and learning routines.
