About Jean Pierre
Salut! My name is Jean Pierre and I am French/Cameroonian tutor. I grew up speaking French and adopted English as my second language in 2012 as I came into the United States to play basketball. I am excited to help you throughout your French learning journey! We are going to learn very efficiently and simple as I take you through the basics and complexity of the French language. I want to reassure you that while it might be difficult at times, I will be with you every step of the way. Whatever you do, don't give up! We are going to have lots of fun and I can't wait to meet you.

French can be a complex language, so my goal is to simplify the lessons as much as possible for the students. Depending on the age of the student, I will begin with the basics such as greetings, small talk, and proper pronunciations. A typical lesson plan would include limited English as we get to know each other and catch up in French followed by games and practices that will help with vocabulary, grammar, and conjugations. Practice makes perfect and repetition is key, so I will always practice what we have learned with the student so it is not forgotten.
Coming to America as a 15 year old with little English knowledge, I had to learn as I adjusted into the States. While it was difficult, I learned tricks to efficient memorization, and I would love to pass it along to future kids wanting to learn my first language; French!
My lesson plans can be catered to anybody from Pre-K to college to any adult wanting to start out and learn the basics of speaking French.
