About Sergio
My name is Sergio José Tavares. I am a BMus student at North-West University, Potchefstroom campus.
I study Western Classical Music, piano. I was the top music student in my high-school (2018-2022), and received an award for Top Music Learner for 2022 National Senior Certificate.
I completed my Grade 8 piano examination in 2022.
I was also top of my class in 2023 for my music studies.
I received the organ/piano bursary award for the NWU Conservatory Bursary Competition 2023 and 2024.

I mainly teach piano lessons in English. I teach starting from pre-grade 1 until grade 8.
I teach any sort of student, whether it is for leisure learning or serious performances.
My methodology adapts to your experience and level. In a typical lesson, I can teach you technique, musicality, and how to practise your repertoire properly to gain the best results.
I am also able to prepare the students for practical exams.
