My approach as a tutor is to be patient, kind, and empathetic. I firmly believe that every student can learn and grow if they are given the right resources, support, and encouragement.
I use several different teaching methods, including one-on-one sessions with students, and group tutoring sessions, which are online learning platforms. My one-on-one sessions are usually more flexible, allowing me to customize the lesson plan to suit the student's needs and strengths. My group sessions are more structured, allowing me to cover more material in a shorter time frame. I also use a variety of online resources, such as video chats, webinars, and interactive learning platforms, to make the learning experience as engaging and effective as possible.
A typical lesson plan for me would include a review of the material we covered in the previous session, a quick check-in to see how the student feels about the material and a discussion of any questions or concerns they may have. Then, I would lead the student through a targeted lesson on the material they are having trouble with or that we need to go over in more detail. At the end of the session, I would assign homework or a practice assignment to help the student cement the material into their brain and to give them something to work on before our next session.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my approach to teaching, which is based on the principles of empathy, patience, and kindness. I take the time to get to know each student individually, and I make sure to meet them where they are, rather than holding them to a standard that may not be appropriate for their level of experience or knowledge.
