About Harper
As a graduate of the University of California, San Diego, with a strong foundation in high school science education, I’ve spent the past eight years helping students go from 'barely passing' to feeling genuinely proud of their grades. My teaching style is rooted in patience, a good sense of humor, and a commitment to building real understanding—not just chasing marks. I focus on developing lasting skills that students carry with them into college and beyond. What I enjoy most is working with students who feel unsure or intimidated by science and watching them grow into confident learners, classroom leaders, and even peer mentors.

Hello! I’m Harper, and my biology tutoring is specially built for high schoolers—whether you’re just getting started or aiming to sharpen your understanding for higher grades and tests. In my sessions, we throw out the “memorize this list” routine and focus on actually understanding how biology connects to the world around us—and to your own life. Lessons are interactive, full of relatable stories, easy-to-see diagrams, and guided Q&As so nothing stays confusing.
You’ll find every session is a safe place to ask big and “obvious” questions, revisit tough ideas, and practice new ways of thinking about science. At the end of each lesson, I give you a color-coded review sheet, a short confidence quiz, and a practical activity you can test out at home or with friends. My goal is to help you feel relaxed, prepared, and actually excited to take on your next biology class or exam.
