About Lauren
I am passionate about the STEM fields and will be applying to medical schools starting this summer. Having gone through the pre-medical track in college and studying for the MCAT, I understand the difficulties and intricacies that come along with learning STEM subjects. I also understand that everyone has a different learning style, so what works to teach a topic for some students may need to be adjusted for others. I'm eager and excited to help students reach their full potentials and achieve their academic goals!

I am a visual learner myself and learn best through examples. When tutoring I like to implement the “I do, we do, you do method” when working through examples. After introducing the important ideas and key words of a topic, I work step-by-step through a practice problem. After answering any questions, I then lead the student through an example problem together. Ensuring there are no further questions, I give them an example to work on independently, making sure to help with any steps they get stuck on or don't understand. I also think it’s important to establish connections between related topics to gain a whole picture understanding of the subject.
