About Prathik
I’m Prathik! I am currently pursuing my undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at Rutgers University. I’m passionate about helping students feel confident and capable in subjects that often seem intimidating—especially in math. With a strong academic background, I have been able to help many tackle the subjects that they struggle in while also making sure they enjoy learning.
I specialize in Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Biology and Pre-Algebra. I also help students that are applying to college with their personal statement or supplemental essays. I focus on making learning approachable and engaging. I start by introducing each topic in a simple, relatable way before diving into direct instruction, always allowing time for students to practice and ask questions. I adjust my teaching style based on the individual needs of each student because I know one size doesn’t fit all.
I’ve had the opportunity to tutor in one-on-one settings, where I helped students who were falling behind gain the confidence and skills to succeed. My experience also includes offering homework help after school and guiding students through multiple subjects and keeping them on task. More than anything, I care about the success of the students I work with. I strive to build a supportive learning environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and don’t feel bad or intimidated about making mistakes. I’m always open to feedback from both students and parents, and I’m quick to respond and easy to reach.

I took AP Biology in high school, which sparked my interest in the subject early on. Now, as a Biological Sciences major, I’ve been able to explore topics like genetics, cell biology, and human anatomy in much more detail. I understand that biology can sometimes feel overwhelming with all the new terms and concepts, so I focus on helping students by explaining ideas clearly and breaking them down into manageable parts. It can be hard to tackle the subject and my goal is to make learning biology more approachable and help students feel confident in their understanding.
