About Isabella
I am a first-year Biological Sciences student at Durham University, having achieved a grade 9 at GCSE and an A at A-level in biology - so I know exactly what is required to reach the top grades at both levels. During school I took part in a structured tutoring programme, supporting younger students with their biology and chemistry on a regular basis. This gave me real experience of explaining difficult concepts clearly and adapting to how different students learn.
My lessons are online, well-structured and tailored to your specific exam board and syllabus. I focus on building genuine understanding rather than just memorising content, which is what makes the difference at both GCSE and A-level. I am patient, approachable and genuinely passionate about biology, and I am committed to making you leave each lesson feeling more confident than when you arrived.

I have a strong academic track record in biology - a grade 9 at GCSE and an A at A-level - and I am now studying Biological Sciences at Durham University, keeping my knowledge current and at a high level. I also offer Sports Science A-level lessons (of which I achieved an A*) and Chemistry GCSE (I achieved an A at A-level). During school, I became experienced as a tutor for younger students within a mentoring system, where I worked with students to improve their Biology, Chemistry and Sports science grades and confidence ahead of exams.
In my lessons which are usually 45-60 minutes long, I focus on building real understanding rather than rote memorisation. I use a mix of clear explanation, worked examples, and targeted practice questions, tailored to the specific exam board and topic. I am patient, approachable, and genuinely enthusiastic about biology, and I believe that enthusiasm is contagious.
