About Liam
I’m a stem cell scientist and former tutor for first-year molecular biology laboratories at the University of Queensland. My lessons are structured, punctual, and aligned to the current syllabus, with clear goals set at the outset and actionable feedback after each session. Professionalism is at the core of my tutoring. Teaching approach:
Diagnostic check-in to identify gaps, concept-first explanations, Socratic questioning, visual models and analogies from lab practice, scaffolded problem-solving, and targeted practice with past HSC-style questions. I build exam technique (marking criteria, timing, short/long-response structure) and use spaced retrieval and feedback to lock in learning.
Lesson length:
Typically 60–90 minutes, once or twice weekly, with flexible intensives before assessments.

Stem cell scientist with hands-on research experience; tutored first-year molecular biology laboratories at UQ, guiding students in experimental design, data analysis, and scientific communication.
