About Tom
I have a biochemisty degree from Oxford University and a PhD from UCL. I have many years experience tutoring students in maths, physics, biology and chemistry at KS3, GCSE and A-Level. I have tutored dozens of students, many of whom went on to get top grades and to study at Universities including Oxford and Cambridge. In addition I am currently Curriculum Director at Oxford Catalyst offering tutoring and workshops in critical and creative thinking including debating, problem solving and communication skills.

For subject specific tuition I am led by the individual student's needs. I find different ways to explain and help explore those areas of the subjects that they haven't fully understood in their school classes. I help support their learning, by focussing on the curriculum, but support their interest in learning by going beyond the curriculum to explore some inter-subject links.
