About GEORGIA
Geia sas!! Hello!!! My name is Georgia Vakropoulos. I am a bilingual speaker of Greek and English. I have a BA in English Language Teaching from the University of Greenwich in 2012. I have 5 years of tutoring experience in the English language, in Athens Greece, to toddlers up to teenagers. I have 3 months of teaching experience in English as well before I came to the United States in 2012. When I came here, I started working at Kumon, in Long Beach California and in 2014 started a side job working as a Greek teacher at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Long Beach. I also started working as a private tutor and have been tutoring ever since in person and in the past year, I have started working online. I have been an ELPAC proctor online for Cross Education for about 5 months from February 2021 through June 2021. I have enjoyed working with all levels of students helping them learn and achieve their goals.

My teaching methodology is providing visual, one on one or group teaching. I like to teach students using hands on experience and being able to engage them in conversations, help students read, write and listen as well. I have excellent communication skills and take the needs of students into consideration. I love learning and love helping others achieve their goals. I make students feel motivated on what they are learning based on the purpose they are learning the language for. I am a native speaker in Greek and English and have received a BA in English Language Teaching from the University of Greenwich in 2012. I have teaching experience for five years at Assumption Greek School in Long Beach California, from second up to fourth grade. I also been doing private lessons in the Greek language for five years now. I do private lessons in person and online.
