About Amaya
I'm a UC Berkeley student originally from Phoenix, Arizona, where I worked as a private tutor for five years, in subjects ranging from writing to physics to all levels of math. I have experience with all age levels. I work with my students to cultivate strong study habits, identify knowledge gaps, and develop note-taking and homework skills.

Every student is different, so it is necessary to identify the reasons behind failure or inadequate performance. Once I've determined the issues, I help students to help themselves by encouraging them to be personally accountable and take responsibility for their studies, to seek out resources and get their questions answered. Identifying the root of the problem the student is having at school is key to future success.
