About Rabeca
I offer simple, beginner-level Malayalam lessons for anyone in the UK who wants to stay connected to their language, family, culture and Kerala roots.
Having lived in Kerala for several years, I can read and write Malayalam and understand how meaningful it can be for people who have grown up abroad to learn or reconnect with the language. Lessons focus on the Malayalam alphabet, recognising letters and sounds, reading simple words and, when the learner is ready, basic writing.

This is not an advanced Malayalam or literature course. It is a relaxed introduction for complete beginners, including those who may understand some Malayalam at home but cannot yet read or write it.
Lessons will be patient, encouraging and tailored to each learner’s pace, whatever their age. My aim is to help learners build confidence and enjoy learning Malayalam.
I can help with:
Learning Malayalam vowels and consonants
Recognising and pronouncing letters
Reading simple Malayalam words
Basic handwriting and letter formation
Building confidence with everyday Malayalam
