About Haleigh
I started playing guitar at 15, like Hendrix (this is a joke, I hold no flame to him). My guitar teacher was a retired professional jazz guitarist, who played at Disney and on some Disney soundtracks. Through his instruction, I learned how to utilize scales, basic music theory, and improvisation skills.
Personally, I started playing and continue to because of my love of rock, indie and punk music. If you have a love for those genres and a desire to learn them, I can help foster that! I have played in a couple of garage bands and write music, so my desire to learn and evolve is incredibly strong. I play both acoustic and electric guitar.

Hello!
These lessons are intended for beginners. I believe in a more student lead approach: the best way to continue learning is to learn what you want to.
With that, there are two options:
1) Student lead:
We establish a baseline, getting comfortable with the instrument. We then choose songs, riffs, licks, solos, etc that are attainable to learn and incorporate fundamentals to learn that song! (However, if a song seems too advanced, I will tell you and we can make ammendments).
2) Baseline
We establish comfortability with the instrument.
We learn chords, scales, and various techniques and genres.
Please note that I do offer only beginner lessons and help. I do not think I know enough theory to teach intermidiate and beyond. Though I no longer take lessons, the more I play, the less I realize I know. I'm still and forever will be a student. I just want to help you take those first steps to fuel music passion!
