About Michael
I am a UCLA graduate, based in LA. I have many years of experience working with students both academically and artistically, and my areas of expertise include math, English and writing, music performance/theory, and theatre. I mostly work through a prestigious tutoring company (called Brownstone Tutors), but I freelance on this website as well! I believe a learning environment should be fun, supportive, and tailored to each student's individual needs. I'd love to help you achieve your goals!
Academics: Bachelor's degree with high GPA from UCLA
Music: 16 years training in piano and music theory
Theatre/Acting: 10 years work as a professional actor, both in LA and NYC

Michael was always patient and fun to work with. He helped me get my math grades up and we could also talk alot about music! Recommend working with him.
Michael is great. He was helpful and very nice. Helped me understand hard concepts and he would even make up his own examples for extra practice.
Michael is one of the best tutors I’ve ever had, if not THE best. He’s always so patient and kind, and actually made learning fun for once, even with subjects I hated (like English)! :) he helped me with some subjects I never thought could be easy for me.
