About Joe
I have been playing classical bass professionally for 25+ years and I have studied with the finest in the business. I am currently the associate principal bassist of the Seattle Symphony Orchestra. I also have an extensive knowledge of many different styles including jazz, funk, rock, country, ska/reggae and more. I can teach electric bass as well. My approach is goal oriented and tailored to what you desire to achieve!

My philosophy is that my job is to teach you how to teach yourself! As a young player, I was self taught, and the methods of practice that I have developed over my life as a bassist, through music school and professionally, will help you problem solve and improve your playing skills in a quick, meaningful, and positive way. I stress strong technical skills and I strive to apply them in the most musical ways possible.
