About Sandile Gift
I am Soweto born and raised bass player who now resides in the city of Johannesburg. I picked the bass up in 2010 when my friends and I decided to start a punk rock band. I am mostly self taught, but I've had the privilege of having friends studying in UKZN and the like's, which exposed me to some musical knowledge and in 2019 I enrolled at Music Academy Of Gauteng to get my grade 5 in theory. I've toured internationally with some very prominent and game changing Rock bands in the country and I've played numerous festivals locally. My personal gig highlights are Playing Afro Punk twice and the Copenhagen Jazz Festival.
