About Raven
I have a Bachelors degree in Organismal Biology and Ecology, and a minor in Chemistry. I have had the opportunity to conduct biological research in tropical cloud forests in Central America, on a research tall ship in the South Pacific, and on the Juneau Icefield.
Some of my current biological interests are in marine invertebrate biology, evolutionary biology, and parasitology.

Biology is such an interesting and amazing subject that can change the way you see and interact with the world. I have been tutoring at an undergraduate level in a variety of biological subjects for several years and I'm not sick of it yet! The subjects I teach include molecular and cell biology, microbiology, zoology, animal physiology, ecology, genetics, and intro chemistry.
I like to give students the option to bring up anything they need help with in sessions and the freedom to guide the lesson any way that is most beneficial. I believe in fostering creativity through project based learning strategies and am always excited to brainstorm with students. I will always try to make my lessons interactive, engaging, and fun, while being efficient and respectful of your time and needs.
I am happy to help with all levels of high school biology, intro through AP, and undergrad biology and intro chemistry classes.
