About Courtney

Hi, I’m Courtney! I’m a passionate and approachable tutor with several years of experience working with students from primary school through to VCE. I hold a Bachelor of Science majoring in Neuroscience, and I’ve spent the past few years combining my academic background with my love of teaching to help students build confidence and achieve their goals. Alongside my tutoring, I’ve worked as a nanny for over four years, supporting young children with their learning in English, math, and science. This experience has given me a strong foundation in communication, patience, and adaptability—qualities I bring to every tutoring session. I’ve also supported VCE students in subjects like Health and Human Development (in which I received a study score of 46) and Further Math (42), helping them to break down complex concepts, prepare for assessments, and feel more confident in their studies. I take pride in creating a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel safe to ask questions and make mistakes. I incorporate a mix of clear explanations, step-by-step breakdowns, interactive examples, and practice problems to help students not only understand the material, but also enjoy learning it.
