About Johannes
I have been teaching since the year 2011 and have held workshops and bandcoaching sessions for larger groups since 2013. (For example at schools or bigbands) In 2016 I was teacher at the HfMdK Mannheim for the Nebenfach E-Bass for contrabassists. My goal is to promote creativity.

In order to make music, one does not necessarily need knowledge of musical theory, just as one does not necessarily have to have an idea of grammar. But here we are concerned with finding the grammar behind the music. Here I ask the question: What's the sound we hear? In order to find the answer, we will analyze musical pieces: melody, harmony, rhythm and many other parameters - depending on the musical style: from classical music to jazz, pop, rock, world and electronic music. My goal is to convey music theory always tangibly and not as a pure self-purpose: in the first place is music, then there's theory.
