About Ellie
I am an experienced tutor going to university for my bachelor in English and education. Since I was a kid, I always wanted to be a teacher, and have enjoyed my time as not only a tutor, but a camp counselor, daycare worker and babysitting. I know firsthand what it's like to struggle with certain subjects, wanting to improve in certain subjects and being the one helping those improve. I am always here to troubleshoot and help students not only improve, but become confident in their English skills.

Through applying techniques to find out what kind of learner the student is and what they struggle with, I can then pick from my collection of lesson plans, or even create new ones to accommodate students' learning styles. It is at the core of my educational belief that no student learns the same, and that most struggles students have are not at the fault of the student. A typical lesson plan involves choosing the subject, having an objective, learning the information, verifying if the student understands, actively practicing, and ending with a summary of what was learned during the session. I have lessons geared towards middle schoolers and high schoolers.

Ellie is a very kind and friendly person who gets along with everyone. She is very patient with people and has no problem with re-explaining a concept if the person she is teaching doesn’t understand the first time! She is also very organized which is a important skill when it comes to teaching! Overall through the skills I know she has through knowing her for four years, and through her previous experience teaching previously, I believe Ellie would make a trustworthy and great teacher!
