About Poliana
I'm a Biologist with the dream of becoming a neuroscientist. I got my Bachelor's degree in Brazil, my home country, then I came to USA to play volleyball as a student-athlete. I got my Associate Degree in Science, and now I'm currently pursuing my teaching certificate in Biology. I speak Portuguese and English, and I'm also studying Japanese because watching animes is my biggest hobby. Neurobiology and general biology are my greatest comfort zone but I can also help you with chemistry and Portuguese if you're interested to learn.

I'm passionate about Biology and science in general, I helped my classmates and friends in college several times because they'd say I have the skill to turn a complicated subject into something easy to understand. That's what I'm most proud about and what I strive for, to make science language accessible to anyone. Doesn't matter how much of a beginner you are, I have the patience to break down the contents, create real world analogies, draw diagrams, anything that helps visualizing the concepts. Seeing my students happy and grateful at the end is my biggest reward.

I was Poliana's classmate in college and she always saved my life, explaining complicated concepts such as biochemistry, histology and plant physiology.
