About Maahira

Hi, I’m Maahira! I’m a Data Science and Business Administration (Finance) student at Northeastern University. Before Northeastern, I studied at Montgomery College, where I received an award for excellence in writing.

Writing has always been one of my strongest passions. I know how stressful it can feel to stare at a blank page or not know how to put your ideas into words, and that’s exactly why I love teaching it. I enjoy helping students organize their thoughts and turn them into clear, confident writing.

At Northeastern, I also work as a note taker for Disability Access Services, where I help other students by writing clear, organized class notes. That experience taught me how to explain ideas simply and support students who learn in different ways.

My goal is to make writing feel less overwhelming and more enjoyable, so you leave every lesson feeling more confident in your skills.

I believe good writing comes from clear thinking. My lessons are patient, encouraging, and step by step, so writing feels manageable instead of overwhelming. I adapt every lesson to your level, goals, and learning style, whether you need help getting started, organizing your ideas, or polishing a final draft.

What a typical lesson looks like

Check-in (5 minutes): we talk about your assignment, deadline, and goals.
Plan (10–15 minutes): we brainstorm and organize your ideas into a clear outline.
Write and improve (30 minutes): we work on your draft together, focusing on structure, clarity, and strong arguments.
Wrap-up (5–10 minutes): I give you clear feedback and next steps, so you know exactly what to work on before our next lesson.

No extra costs: there are no additional fees for materials or classroom bookings. Online lessons only need a computer and an internet connection.

Save with packages: 5-hour and 10-hour packages come at a lower hourly rate, ideal for longer projects like college applications or a semester of writing support.

Cancellations: Please let me know at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule, so I can offer the time to another student.
