Award-Winning Prof of Audio and Video Technology teaches music, keyboard performance, and music video production to adults.

I met Prof. David during my undergrad term at Stevens Inst of Tech when I took his Music and Technology class. In that class we learned the basics of midi, sound design, and how to put it all together using ProTools. Then I stuck around as a studio intern doing DAT transfers (yes, this was the mid 90s) and worked to clean up audio tracks pulled from old vinyl recordings. Fast forward a few years and when my son was getting tired of plain old piano lessons, I looked up Prof David and was pleased to find he was still teaching, so we signed up for his MusicTech Teens course. The tools have gotten better over the years, but the fundamentals remain the same. Prof David is a patient teacher with a deep knowledge of the tools available and is willing to work at whatever level a student is at.

I am a 35 year old adult, and I have been enjoying weekly remote video Music Technology Consulting sessions with Professor David Musial for nearly two years and have completed more than 50-one hour sessions. My goal was to learn to set up my home recording studio to be as professional as possible and to learn about proper recording engineering techniques. His teaching style is amazing. He always answers all my questions, and if he doesn't have the answer immediately, he emails it to me. I learned how to purchase the right state-of-the-art equipment. How to set up my drum kit with individual mics going into a very high-quality analog to digital converter and then recording up to 16 channels at 24-bit x 96 kHz high definition quality. He quickly taught me how to use the basics and some of the advanced features of digital audio workstations like Logic & LUNA. We actually use real active projects, and I was able to play my drums through the system at my studio, and then through the internet Cloud transfer process, I was able to send it to him in the New York City area. My work has been used in a music video and also a group album which is scheduled for release in the next few months. I highly recommend Professor Musial!
