About MJ
I am an award-winning playwright with a masters from Yale. My plays have been seen around the world including the Public Theater in New York City as well as in Moscow and Sydney, Australia. I also wrote for two seasons of a Netflix show. I have taught writing at Yale, Wesleyan, Fordham University SUNY Purchase College and University of the Arts. I have also taught theater and writing to K-12 public school students through Philadelphia Young Playwrights. My students have completed beautiful plays and essays and gone on to be accepted to top colleges and Universities.
I learned to speak Spanish while studying in Venezuela and Argentina and have taught Spanish to 3rd-5th graders.
I have also tutored B'nai Mitzvah students at three different synagogues. All my students went on to have very meaningful B'nai Mitzvot.
