About Mbongeni Mayoh
Hello, my name is Mayo - welcome to my class, where learning English is a fun, simple and an enjoyable experience.
Apart from the love of teaching English, I am an exceptional percussionist. I spent 4 years touring in the UK as performing artist, where I developed love for audience development. I enjoy travelling, music, architecture, hospitality and tourism.
I am an easy-going, person who loves meaningful conversations with diverse people from different cultures. I have established myself as one of the key arts and culture movers in Durban, South Africa and I am eloquent in arts exhibitions, music shows as well as hosting some of the most sought after live music events as an ambassador of KwaZulu- Natal's cultural heritage.

The best way to sell something to someone is to sell yourself first -my character, personality, skills and appearance always create a lasting impact on students - whether be it in business, school or any environment.
In my classes, I use a hands-on approach, which encourages fun, diversity, creativity and freedom of speech and with my relaxed style - I am able to adapt to the needs of my students. I encourage conversations on a wide variety of topics, asking them questions to help with their critical thinking skills.
I consider a successful lesson to be one where everyone is interactive, listening and fully involved in the content presented and a good level of understanding on worksheets, quizzes and homework presented.
