About Peter
I graduated from Wesley College this year, and have mentored several students in years 4-9 since 2016, one of which was an especially gifted student who got accepted into Perth Modern School this year. Regardless of the mathematical ability of each student, I enjoyed working with every one of them.
I have also been fortunate to have been selected to participate in several national and international Mathematics Olympiads/Competitions throughout 2017-19, having been an AMC prize winner, which I believe to have highly benefited my understanding and tutoring of mathematics.

My tutoring sessions aim to focus on the areas of weakness in mathematics of the student, particularly in the subject they are currently studying at school. Students would often bring in schoolwork, questions or content they did not fully understand, and I would strive to help them to not only understand how to complete questions, but help them to understand the meaning of the method and the answer. By doing this, they can identify similar questions in tests and exams and apply the same concepts.
Once a student is confident with the content, we then work on completing questions quickly and precisely, as time will be your biggest enemy during an exam. This is improved by completing practise test and exam questions under timed conditions. Students often find as they complete more, they become quicker and less prone to careless errors, both of which are pivotal for exams.
