About Jake
I’m 23 and currently studying for my PhD in Astrophysics at Oxford University. Physics and maths are subjects I’ve always been extremely passionate about, and I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into clear, understandable steps. I have recently started tutoring to gain experience in teaching and to help students build confidence in their abilities. I am patient, supportive, and enthusiastic, and I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress.

I offer supportive tutoring to GCSE and A-level students in maths and physics tailored to each student's needs and goals. We will start by identifying strengths and weaknesses and I will then build personalised lesson plans to help boost confidence and understanding in a topic. Lessons typically last 60 minutes and are suitable for students of all ages and levels.
Although I don't have a great deal of experience, I hope my past grades can convince you that I know what it takes to get the top grades:
1st Class Master's Degree in Physics from Durham University
4 A*'s in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and History
7 9's, 3 8's and a 7 at GCSE
