About ALICE
I have experience in teaching university students, presenting at conferences and publishing research. This means that I can proofread to a very high level. I also have a diverse background starting with a Psychology BSc, moving to a counter-terrorism MSc and finally ending with a PhD in politics meaning that I can proofread essays or dissertations across many different topics. I love to see people grow in their confidence as well as their expertise. Sometimes all we need is a bit of help and direction which I can provide.

I am a published researcher (see below) and have personally been through numerous proofreading stages for different publications. I am also a lecturer and seminar leader with 2 years of proofreading experience at university-level. You can either send me your work and I can proofread it and give you suggestions personally, or I can make the corrections and send you the final copy. I would advise that I talk you through the corrections I make so you learn from your mistakes. These sessions would last half an hour. I look forward to improving your work with you. Perfect! Alice started with general remarks on the quality of my writing. She generously praised the strengths, and then she cited the weaknesses needing improvement. She continued by thoroughly presenting her comments per paragraph. Alice's approach is to give hints for improvement and provide examples from her experience in articles and book chapter authoring. I understood that she wanted me to learn to improve the piece of writing we were discussing and to know how to write with clarity, cohesiveness and coherence. Our session gave me loads of courage and confidence.
