Advanced English Lesson – Full Content
1. Warm-up (5 min) – Discussion
Topic: "Is social media making us more connected or more isolated?"
Ask student to give opinion with 2 reasons.
2. Vocabulary (10 words)
1. Ambiguous – unclear, open to interpretation
2. Resilient – able to recover quickly
3. Candid – honest, straightforward
4. Meticulous – very careful, precise
5. Skeptical – doubtful
6. Redundant – no longer needed
7. Plausible – believable
8. Eloquent – fluent, persuasive speaking
9. Pragmatic – practical
10. Nuanced – subtle, complex
Task: Student makes one sentence per word.
3. Grammar Focus – Conditionals (Mixed)
Explain: "If I had studied harder, I would be fluent now." (Past condition → present result)
Give 3 examples, then student writes 3 of their own.
4. Reading/Listening Passage
Short article (150 words) on any current topic — student reads aloud, then summarizes in own words.
5. Speaking Practice (10 min)
Debate: "Should university education be free?" Student argues one side, you counter.
6. Writing Task
Write a 100-word opinion paragraph using at least 3 vocabulary words.
7. Wrap-up
Recap vocab + grammar point. Homework: write 5 sentences using conditionals.
