About Susie
I am currently a first year architecture student at Carnegie Mellon University, and am expected to graduate in 2023!
As a current student myself, I feel as if I can understand another student the best. I am able to work with a wide range of students in various different subjects, but am most passionate about college essays and art portfolio help. I also have taught math at a math tutor facility for over 2 years, and can comfortably teach math in nearly all levels besides calculus+.

For college admissions essays and more, I serve as both a writing tutor and an idea bank. I am able to directly provide an unbiased opinion about various topics and styles that a student is writing in for their college essays, and provide input to further strengthen their story and message. I also provide help with the layout of the Common Application, and art portfolios/supplements if necessary.
For math, I believe in a simple teaching philosophy based around easy explanations. Oftentimes, math is very complex, so I feel as if breaking down a problem into different steps and shortcuts aids students in understanding a problem so much more.

For math tutoring, my rates may vary depending on the student's level. Please contact me for more information!
For college admissions/essay tutoring, I charge $60 per hour, but can meet for 30 or 45 minutes per session if preferred.
