About Fiona
I'm a recent Architectural Engineering Masters graduate from Cardiff University, where I earned a 2:1 with a first-class dissertation. My degree was built on applied mathematics, from structural analysis to energy modelling, so maths isn't just a subject I studied, it's a tool I've used to solve real problems.
I know from my own school days that maths can feel like a wall, and I also know the difference a clear explanation makes. That experience shapes how I teach: patiently, step by step, and without judgement. No question is too basic, and no topic is revisited too many times.
I take lessons seriously and prepare for each one in advance, tailoring material to your exam board and goals. Outside maths, I'm passionate about sustainable buildings and data analysis, and I bring that real-world perspective into lessons whenever it helps a concept click.

My lessons are for kids and GCSE level maths students, typically aged 11 to 15.
Each lesson lasts one hour, online with a shared whiteboard so we work through problems together in real time. I structure lessons around guided practice with clear, step by step explanations, followed by independent questions to build confidence.
As an Architectural Engineering Masters graduate from Cardiff University, I've used algebra, trigonometry and calculus on real building projects. My approach is patient, judgement-free, and tailored to your exam board and target grade.
