About Alex
Hi, I'm Alex! I completed my studies at Alleyn's School in London, where I achieved an A in A-Level Economics. When I first started the subject, I actually found it incredibly challenging. I was stuck at a C/D grade initially, scratching my head over complex macro models and essay structures. However, through trial and error, I figured out the exact tips, tricks, and exam-board secrets needed to master the AQA syllabus and push my grade up to an A. Because I’ve been in those exact shoes, I know exactly where students get stuck and how to help them improve their grades while making economics more enjoyable.

I focus heavily on exam-board strategy and active learning, rather than just reading from a textbook.
My methodology splits into three core pillars: Mastering the AQA Mark Scheme: We practise structuring 9, 15, and 25-mark essays using exact examiner frameworks to maximise evaluation marks.
Past Paper Questions (PPQs): We dissect real past papers together to learn how to analyse extracts rapidly and avoid common traps.
Parent Transparency: After lessons, I provide a brief update or report to parents so you always know exactly what progress your child is making and where they need to focus on.
Lessons run for 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the student's needs. A 90-minute slot is ideal for Economics as it gives us enough time to cover a core macro/micro concept, draw the diagrams, and write a full practice essay together.
Achieved an 'A' grade in AQA A-Level Economics.
