About Aly
My name is Aly, and I'm currently pursuing graduate entry medicine as a medical student here in London.
My own journey to reach this point has been filled with challenges, which has given me a deep understanding of the struggles students face while learning how to study effectively. Having experienced my fair share of struggles with studying in the past, I've worked tirelessly to refine my study methods to make the most of my time. My approach to tutoring is student-centered, focusing on individualized attention and tailored lesson plans to meet the unique learning needs of each student. I employ a variety of techniques, including interactive discussions, hands-on activities, visual aids, and real-life examples to make the subject matter engaging and accessible.
Typically, my lessons run for 60 minutes, allowing for a balance between covering the necessary material and maintaining the student's focus and retention. However, I remain flexible to adjust the lesson length as needed, especially for younger students or intensive study sessions.
With a Bachelor's degree in Applied Medical Sciences and a 2 years of experience as a tutor at Kumon, I believe I bring a strong foundation in pedagogical principles and instructional strategies to my teaching practice.
My lessons are primarily designed for GCSE and A level students preparing for College/University entrance exams. However, I have also worked with younger students seeking additional support in math and science subjects. I am passionate about empowering students of all ages to achieve their academic goals and thrive in their learning journey.
