About Miguel
I graduated from the University of Oregon with majors in Applied Mathematics and Economics, and something that has always bothered me is when people say that they are "bad at math." I have never met anyone who truly cannot understand the concepts put in front of them by high school or early college math classes. Everyone learns at their own pace and in their own way, and usually all it takes is just a little more context, a little more "why," for people to make the connection. The majority of my experience is with people who have historically struggled with math, so if that sounds like you, let's talk!
Aside from doing math for fun, I also enjoy climbing boulders, playing music, playing video games, and computer programming.

I am passionate about math education, and I specialize in working with people who struggle with the subject. I have two years of tutoring experience at the high school and college level, and while my focus is on probability and statistics, I would love to help with all levels of math from arithmetic to calculus and complex analysis.
