About Sophie
I am studying Law and International Relations at ANU after graduating from an extremely competitive school for HSC English with a 95 in English Advanced, 98 in English Extension 1 and 98 in English Extension 2. I achieved full marks in my 6000-word Major Work essay on contemporary Indigenous literature in 2021, as well as actively engaged in reviewing and editing other major student essays as part of English Extension 2. I have two years' experience tutoring Year 10 and 11 English students.

As a recent HSC graduate with a passion for all levels of English, I approach the subject with my students by demystifying both the literature and exam methodology. Specialising in essay writing, I provide accessible examples of cohesive, convincing and genuinely enjoyable essays and tailor my advice to the particular needs of each student, allowing them to develop their own distinct writing style and construct effective responses to exam questions.
