About Alan
Hello, Math enthusiasts! I'm Alan, your new Math buddy. I've got a Mathematics degree and I'm currently exploring the world of Business Insights and Analytics at Humber, Lakeshore.
Math can seem like a giant puzzle but don't worry, we'll solve it together! I'm here to guide you through topics like Trigonometry, Algebra, Calculus, and more. We'll break down each topic into manageable pieces, and I'll explain each piece in a way that's easy to understand.
Our journey through the world of Mathematics will be a shared adventure. I'll explain the concept, we'll work through examples together, and then I'll give you small tasks to make sure you've got it. We won't move on until you're ready.
I believe in teaching by being friends with my students. So, our lessons will be more like two friends working on a puzzle together. I offer in-house tuition for those who prefer learning face-to-face.

My methodology:
As a Mathematics graduate, my teaching methodology is rooted in a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. I believe in breaking down complex topics into simple, understandable steps. My approach involves explaining the theory behind each concept, followed by practical examples to solidify understanding. I am proficient in teaching a wide range of topics including Trigonometry, Algebra, Limits and Derivatives, Calculus, Matrices, Polynomials, Geometry, Application of Trigonometry, Linear Equations, Complex Numbers, and Real Numbers.
What I plan to do:
A typical lesson with me would start with a brief overview of the topic, followed by an in-depth explanation of the concept. We would then work through several examples together, starting with simpler problems and gradually moving on to more complex ones. I would ensure that you understand each step before moving on to the next. At the end of the lesson, I would provide additional problems for you to solve independently, to reinforce what you've learned.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to adapt my teaching style to suit the needs of each individual student. I understand that everyone learns differently, and I am committed to finding the best approach for you. Additionally, my background in customer service has equipped me with excellent communication skills, allowing me to explain complex concepts in a way that is easy to understand.
